Meet the Team

Shelley Schwab manages the development of wind and solar projects in Michigan and Illinois. Previously Shelley worked in Minnesota and North Dakota where she helped Apex establish Discovery Wind, a 400MW project. Her past work in education helps her bring an understanding of public finance and the challenges many rural areas face. She leads the team that meets with local landowners and stakeholders to answer questions and provide context on the level of investment Racehorse Flats Wind.   
Emily Neuharth, develops wind and solar projects in Illinois and Indiana. Emily has experience in community outreach, political advocacy at a county level, public speaking, and education. Her Master of Public Health in Environmental Health made her aware of the benefits wind and solar energy could bring to our daily lives. Born and raised in the Midwest, Emily is passion about bringing clean, reliable energy and tax revenue to the hard working folks of her native region.  
   
Max Jabrixio is a Public Engagement Manager for Apex. He joined the team in 2019 with over 5 years’ of experience as a community organizer for nonprofits and campaigns. Max is passionate about working with communities to ensure the benefits of the clean energy transition are shared widely. Max lives in Minnesota with his wife and their adorable dog, Pepper.  
Josh Hartke is a field manager for Racehorse Flats Wind. Josh grew up on a farm near Effingham, Illinois, and graduated from the University of Illinois in 1997 with a degree in Economics. He has since been an environmental activist, a Champaign County board member, political organizer, and published author. He has had a lifelong commitment to the natural resources and beauty of his home state, and wants to help Apex build a new, clean energy future for Illinois.
 

Mike McGill is a land agent for Racehorse Flats Wind offering a proven track-record of 16 years managing complex projects from inception to completion in both the oil and gas industry and renewable energy. He has worked with landowners, attorneys, government agencies, surveyors, and construction firms through his previous projects that spanned across the country.

 

Jim Rocca is a land agent for Racehorse Flats Wind with over 20 years of experience in land acquisition and business management. His skills include interfacing with landowners and county officials, deed pulling, finance, and field training. Jim is also a U.S. Army veteran and author of Awake: Enlightenment Unveiled and Job Hunt Like A Predator: Building the Job Hunter of the Future.
